At random: "Again I ask, who really are our Hero’s? They are the men who have, since the first day of our great country, left their families and friends and gone to war asking for nothing and giving all." -- Gary Walker

The past bizzaroworld decade has slanted my perception of reality almost to the point of nearly hoping to witness the Sox win this years world series championship.

I admired Nelly Fox and Luis Aparico and sometimes the White Sox.

I was so happy when the Dodgers got to play them in 1959 World Series.  After a disastrous '58 season I got to see Fox, and Aparicio play in the L.A. Coliseum on television - going to the game was never an option although I saw many baseball and football  games at the Coliseum.
