At random: The USS NAUTILUS SSN 571 steamed 60,000 miles on a lump of Uranium the size of a golf ball. A diesel powered submarine would have required 3,000,000 gallons or 300 railway tank cars of oil.

We used to say the Midnight Train to anywhere but Boston. A lot of things happen around midnight particularily if your dog watch falls asleep. I salute the men and women that pulled off and asissted in pulling off the midnight train into Iran. BZ. Fram a military standpoint, it was a mission never before lauched. Thank goodness my tax money went for something I am happy about.

I have mixed emotions on this. But, yes, I believe it had to be done. Iran has been shouting about the “Great Satan” for years, and they were not to be trusted. I just hope there are not repercussions from sleeper cells. I think all aid to foreign countries should be cut in half, given to Israel with the caveats to do the light work.
