At random: A typical modern submarine may require as many as 2,000 working drawings for the more than 7,000,000 items used in its construction. Blueprints from these drawings if placed end to end would make a strip 250 miles long.

OK, this is the latest I know.
I saw my surgeon this last Wednesday. He explained the surgery. They will be chopping the tumor out and some of my esophagus. They will then be splitting my stomach in half vertically. One 1/2 will become the new esophagus the rest will be the what remains of my stomach.. I will need to sleep at an angle of 30 degrees or more the rest of my life since there will no be no valve at the top of my stomach any longer. This will be happening on Oct 22!

This coming Friday, Oct 4. I will be have an exploratory surgery so the Dr can see what he is up against. I will be kept overnight. The main surgery I will be held in the hospital for 10 days be fore being taken back to the rest home. before going home.

All I know for now. Keep your fingers crossed. Maybe home by Thanksgiving???

Sounds odd to us, but surgeons know what they're doing.

To me, the wierd part would be learning to sleep with my chest at an up-angle.

Best wishes. Coyote
