The above link goes to the USSVI (United States Submarine Veterans, Inc.) Facebook page where their members who have gone on “Eternal Patrol” are noted.
I’ll keep my work here going, trying to get others who were not USSVI members. You’re encouraged to look there as well as here! Obviously, there’ll be some I miss and some I duplicate.
DAVISON .. .. .. Dwight O. Davison was a man of deep Christian faith, devoted husband, involved father, active grandfather, and caring friend. Dwight was born in rural Illinois. He attended the U.S. Naval Academy and served honorably in the Navy for two decades, specializing in submarine operations. During that time, he pursued graduate studies in computer science. After retiring from military service, Dwight continued working in the Washington, D.C. area in various professional roles, eventually retiring in 2015. Even after two careers, he remained active-reading, writing, volunteering with international ministries, and serving in his local church. Dwight and his wife Karla were married for over four decades. They have three sons: Daniel and his wife Ashley, Caleb and his wife Anna, and Nathan and his wife Ashley. They are blessed with nine grandchildren. Throughout his life, Dwight's faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of everything he did. The Bible was his source of strength and direction. He was known for his quiet strength, humor, generosity, humility, and his willingness to invest in others. A meaningful Scripture for Dwight was Psalm 91:1-2, which says, "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty." A memorial service will be held on July 25th at 10AM at Woodmen Valley Chapel in Monument.
