Received today:
Shipmate Roy Leonhardt, USS Menhaden (SS377) went on Eternal Patrol.
Shipmate Roy is recognized by the Wisconsin Maritime Museum for being very instrumental in getting the surviving families of the USS Largarto connected through his efforts in contacting the divers who found the Largarto and connecting with the family members.

Roy was a nuke for a very short period of time he attended NPTU Windsor (S1C) and I shared a house with him and a Nuc MM by the name of Goughnaur I do not know how he ended up on Menhaden Gary and I went straight to Sub School from S1C in Spring of 70 (I don't remember Roy going with us)  I believe he was 59 if memory serves me correct

Anyone know when Roy went on Eternal Patrol?  The only Roy Leonhardt to be found at www.legacy.com died in 2006.
