You’re encouraged to look there as well as here! Obviously, there’ll be some I miss and some I duplicate. WINEBOLD .. .. ..Boardman--Chester L. Winebold, 74, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at his home with his loving family by his side. Chester was born on September 8, 1951 in Oil City, PA. He was the son of Chester L. Winebold Sr. and Anna Jean Cullen Winebold. Chester graduated from The Rayen School in 1969, after which he entered the US Navy and proudly served aboard the submarine U.S.S. Simon Bolivar during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in June 1973. On June 21, 1975, Chester married the love of his life, Rayma Clement. They were childhood sweethearts since meeting at Hayes Jr. High and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June of 2025. Chester then joined the Youngstown Fire Department in 1978. Under Chief Charles O'Nesti, he and other rookie recruits were mandated to continue their service through the YFD strike, earning the name "Charlie's Angels" for protecting the people of Youngstown. Chester continued to faithfully serve on the Youngstown Fire Department until his retirement, in December 2006, as a Captain. Chester is survived by his wife Rayma, along with their sons, Joshua and Jason (Lisa) Winebold, and their daughter, Leah (Adam) Altiero. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren Nellie and Brady Winebold, as well as Amelia, Alora and Luciano Altiero. Chester leaves behind siblings Diane Lipinsky, Deborah Rogers, Denise Winebold, Kevin (Helen) Winebold, and Christopher (Michelle) Winebold, in addition to brother-in-law Jason Evans, sisters-in-law Mary (Dick) Chisholm and Alberta (Larry) Meloro, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his sister Dina Evans, nephew Michael Lipinsky, his parents, and in-laws Raymond and Mary Clement. Chester was an avid golfer and never had a rainy day on the course with his buddies. His favorite golf days were spent with his daughter, Leah (whom he called "Goosey"), on her birthday. He coached his sons in youth baseball and soccer leagues, was involved in several pool leagues during retirement, and was a lifelong Cleveland sports fan. Chester loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, who lovingly called him "Papa." He looked forward to yearly vacations in Ocean Isle Beach, NC. Everyone who knew Chester knew he was always ready to share a funny story and had a gift of making people feel special. Through his battle with cancer, his positive attitude endeared him to his doctors, nurses, and many other healthcare team members. Chester was loved by all who knew him. Chester's family would especially like to thank the caregivers at the Hope Lodge, in Cleveland, where he recovered after his bone marrow transplant. The care that he received was kind, compassionate, and meant so much to his family. CORBETT … .. .. Stephen Michael Corbett, 78; of St. Marys, GA passed away at Community Hospice in Jacksonville, FL on January 16, 2026. Stephen was born on July 2, 1947 in Portsmouth, VA to Virgil Corbett and Helen Gentry Corbett. In early years he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Diane and Stephen met while he was attending the Fredericksburg military academy. They were married March 26th, 1966 in Gaithersburg, MD. He was in the USN for 26 years and served aboard diesel and nuclear submarines while stationed in Florida, Virginia, and Hawaii. He furthered his military career while serving on sub tenders in Italy and Georgia and shore duty in Virginia, where he obtained his final rank of CW02. He was also responsible for training recruits in Orlando, FL. After he retired, he worked for Civil Service for a few years at Kings Bay Naval Base. Later, he worked for Frito-Lay, and eventually fully retired after several years. He was a hard worker, enjoyed working in the yard and loved animals. He is survived by his wife, Diane Corbett of St. Marys, GA Sons, Stephen Corbett, Jr. (Kelly) of Atlanta, GA and David Corbett (Amy) of Kingsland, GA. Brothers, Curtis Corbett (Jan), Clifford Corbett (Amber) and James Corbett (Sheri) all of Missouri. Sister in law, Brenda Butler (Keith) of Gaithersburg, MD. Grandchildren, Virginia Corbett, James Corbett, William Corbett, Hunter Haynes (Jeremy), and Colton Corbett. Great Grandchildren, Theodore and Penelope Haynes and Ellias Ebelhar, and his beloved dog, Thor. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife of 57 years, Linda Corbett. HUTSON .. .. .. Larry Hutson departed his earthly home January 19, 2026, to be with his heavenly father and his loved ones who have previously departed. He was born April 13, 1945, in Peoria, Illinois to the to the late Wilbur Hutson and Edwayna Newell Hutson. He was a graduate of Mabelvale High School in Mabelvale, Arkansas, attended Henderson College in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, served in the US Navy-submarine service division and was a lineman for Entergy, Inc. until his retirement in 2019. Larry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vilonia, Arkansas and was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is preceded in death by; his parents, Wilbur and Edwayna Hutson, five brothers, Jim, Jack, Bill, Bobby and Jerry, two sisters, Mary and Chi Chi, one daughter Tamara, and two grandchildren, Wesley and Dallas. He is survived by his wife, Doris Jean Galloway Hutson; his sisters, Jenne and Susan, his son, Larry R. Hutson (Cyndi) of Payola, Kansas, one daughter, Monica Griffith (Roy) of Cape Girardeau, MO, six grandchildren, Tanner (Sarah), Isabelle, Charlie Lance (Cecelia), Shelby (Daniel), and Lydia, eleven great grandchildren. WARTENBERG .. .. .. Robert J. Wartenberg, Sr. 74, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Thursday, January 15, 2026. He was born in Oak Lawn, Illinois on June 12, 1951, son of the late Christian and Joy (Johnson) Wartenberg. Robert was a graduate of Dilla Park High School in Orange County California with the class of 1968. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1971 serving on the Nuclear Submarine USS Groton until his honorable discharge in 1979. On July 7, 1973 he married Lark Weissmann in Blue Island, IL. She preceded him in death on December 4, 2023. Following his discharge from the Navy, Robert was employed as a procedure writer at Kewaunee Nuclear Plant. He also worked as a contractor on various other power plants in New York, Illinois, Vermont, Kansas and Pennsylvania. Robert also enjoyed collecting coins and was a history buff. Survivors include four sons: Robert (Erin) Wartenberg, Jr., Randal Wartenberg, Richard (Fiancée Michelle) Wartenberg and Russell Wartenberg; four grandchildren; one brother: Fred (Roberta) Wartenberg; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife: Lark Wartenberg; and his parents: Christian and Joy Wartenberg. RICHERSON .. .. .. Bruce W. Richerson, 81, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 16, 2026, in Summerville, South Carolina. Born on September 9, 1944, in Estelline, Texas, Bruce lived a life marked by dedication-to his country, to his family, and to the simple joys that brought him peace. Bruce proudly served in the United States Navy, where he spent much of his career aboard submarines. Rising to the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer, he exemplified leadership and commitment throughout his service. His time in the Navy was not only a profession but a calling that shaped much of his life's discipline and resilience. After retiring from military service, Bruce continued to devote himself wholeheartedly to what mattered most-his family. He shared nearly 60 years of marriage with his beloved wife Patty, building a life grounded in love and mutual respect. Together they raised four children: Todd (Susan), Tim, Travis, and Theresa (Mark), who preceded him in death. Bruce's legacy lives on through his grandchildren Nikki (Kyle), Amber, and Jackie; and through his great-grandchildren Becca, Stephen, Treyton, and Scarlett. A man of quiet passions, Bruce found joy in fishing-relishing the calm of the water and the thrill of the catch. He also enjoyed challenging himself with sudoku puzzles and took great pride in caring for those around him. Whether offering a helping hand or simply being present for those he loved, Bruce's steady presence was a source of strength for many. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him-as a devoted husband and father, a proud grandfather and great-grandfather, a veteran who served with honor, and a man who found happiness in life's simple pleasures. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him. | ||
