submitted by STSCM(SS) L. G. ReynoldsIt was my good and great fortune to have known Master Chief Conrad Gillaspie as a true man of the sea and a giant in our brotherhood. It is with heavy heart that I report that Da COB lost his fight with cancer on 2 February this year.
Our service is smaller today, but our ability finer, thanks to his great example. Men of CHICAGO, you were mightily blessed! I ask all men of the deep who may view these presents to hoist a glass when you gather, hoist it high, say "Thank you Conrad," and drain 'er down.
"Take 'er deep, Conrad!"
