| During one of our
boomer port calls stateside, the COB took a few days off to visit family.
He had the misfortune of being involved in a car/cow accident that demolished
his car, killed the cow, but fortunately left him unharmed.
When the COB returned to the boat, the Topside Watch made the following announcement over the 1MC, "COB, arriving. MOOOOO" It was many minutes before the laughing died down throughout the boat. It was many more months before the COB let the Topside Watch forget his announcement. Harold L. Nelson |
