A brief bio submitted by Jack Geng, April 2002: I retired from the Navy in 1977 in Hawaii, and ended up staying here. I worked for a time at the Pearl Harbor shipyard, and later taught school. Today I live with my wife Ingrid on the small island of Molokai. We have a small business here, and hope to retire soon. I have been involved with art most of my life. When I was riding the boats I did cartoons about the crew, and some of my old shipmates still remember them. Over the years I have done sculptures, paintings and cartoons. You can see some of my work on my web page:  http://mysite.verizon.net/res8xj6e/

This painting is the USS Alexander Hamilton SSBN 617, and it is the second time I painted that boat. The first painting was donated to the last reunion. The Hamilton was my second boat, and I served on her from 1965 to 1969. I also had duty on the USS Thomas Edison SSBN 610 from 1963 to 1965.
